Post-Secondary Education

Upton EWC Outreach is an outreach site for Eastern Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming.  Eastern Wyoming College offers 16 Associate of Arts degrees, 18 Associate of Science degrees, 7 Associate of Applied Science degrees and 16 certificates.  Five degrees and two certificates can be completed entirely via distance learning:  AAS in Business Administration, AA in Criminal Justice, AA in Early Childhood Education, AA in Elementary Education, AS/AA in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Certificate in Early Childhood Education and a Certificate in Criminal Justice-Corrections.
University of Wyoming Outreach offers 38 combined degrees, certificate and endorsement programs.  All of the courses through these programs are delivered through distance learning.

Concurrent and Dual Enrollment Programs

Concurrent and dual enrollment programs allow high school students to earn both high school and college credit while they are actively enrolled in and attending high school. The huge benefit in concurrent and dual enrollment is our students receive college credit free of charge making it a huge savings for them and their parents. The students also get a head start on their college classes and should finish their college degree sooner than others.

Currently, students can receive college credit in 7 different high school classes:  Practical Accounting I and II, Child Development, Intro to Health Careers, Success in the Workplace, Heavy Resistance Conditioning I and II.

The Dual enrollment program offers the opportunity for high school students to enroll in college courses taught by Eastern Wyoming College instructors.  The college credits earned can be applied towards high school graduation requirements.  Outside of school hours or during the summer, high school students can enroll in college courses that are delivered on-site, online or through video conferencing.
